Jean-Guy Talbot, FCPA, FCGA

Founder & CEO of RêveNew Practice Management and Talbot & Associates

Jean-Guy believes that happiness is a choice you make every morning. Passionate about sharing his knowledge and experience with others, he has celebrated success and has overcome challenges since founding Talbot & Associates in 1987. Growing the practice from a one-person operation in his basement to over 60 staff in seven locations across Manitoba, he has devoted a tremendous amount of time and energy to research the secrets of operating a better practice.

In 2020, Talbot & Associates received the Manitoba Accounting Firm of the Year award, as well as the award for Excellence in Agriculture Accounting Services from Acquisition International.  In 2019, we also made the “Top 3 Accounting Firms in Winnipeg” list created by Three Best Rated

Mentoring others on the path of success by applying real, practical methods tested by experience lead to him establish RêveNew Practice Management to help practitioners reach new levels of profit they never thought possible.

Evident in his dynamic and entertaining seminars, Jean-Guy is eager to share what he’s learned and provide attendees with the kind of insight that allows them to run a better, less stressful, and more profitable practice.

This year, Jean-Guy Talbot FCPA, FCGA, is launching a YouTube channel dedicated to building a community around public practice management. Join the tribe as each week he shares actionable knowledge and advice to run a healthier and more profitable accounting or bookkeeping firm.

Sara Bouchard

Sara lives by her own personal mantra to make each day better than the last. With seemingly boundless energy, she tackles everything in life with optimism and has a zest for new experiences.  

After graduating her cosmetology classes in 2019, she took an interest in volunteering with Manitoba Mutts and fostering animals. Since then, her and her dog Hudson have fostered six dogs on to their forever homes and they have no plans to slow down.  

One day she hopes to travel the world, having already crossed off her list places such as Mexico, Florida, Scotland, Ireland, Paris, London, Italy, and Greece. Her ultimate destination get away is anywhere with sandy beaches and balmy weather- full of sunshine, just like she is.

Picture this: a highly caffeinated squirrel that does pretty well for itself as an air traffic controller- and that’s Kayla in a nutshell! Between fielding client care and file administration, she can be found anywhere between the office and various RPM trade shows across Canada throughout the year. Kayla joined T&A and RPM in early 2016 bringing with her stellar attention to detail and passion for writing. In 2012, she completed the Bachelor of Arts program at the University of Manitoba, majoring in Psychology. In 2015, she received her Canadian Accredited Insurance Broker designation.

Remy sees things as they could be- not as they used to be! A 20/20 marketing visionary, Remy has over 16 years of experience working at the advertising firm Publicis Worldwide, based in Paris, France. He believes that good marketing must be smart, beautiful and put the customer in a good mood.

His natural innovation, artistic flare and good natured, ‘get it done’ attitude makes him a triple threat in the lively ring of the marketing world. We dare you to scroll past or glance away from any of his masterfully crafted media.

Mahrukh N. Khan

Graphic Designer

Quiet and quick witted, Mahrukh is an artistic force to be reckoned with. Highly creative and multi-talented, she specializes in conceptualizing innovative design solutions for print, web, and broadcast applications.  

After earning her degree in Fine Arts from the University of Manitoba and her Diploma in Interactive Media Designing from Seneca College in Toronto, she entered in the digital industry to explore her passion for designing and marketing. 

When she is not working, she likes to go shopping, enjoys baking, and spending quality time with friends. 

Kristine Tubiera

Practitioner’s Marketing Consultant

Kristine is passionate about supporting public practitioners, small business owners, and Associations. It takes a team to build an organization and no one can do it alone.

With over seventeen years of experience in the accounting profession as an association management professional, Kristine has a wealth of knowledge and experience in guiding practitioners. She has worked intimately with small to mid-sized public accounting firms understanding their needs, created innovative programs and services to support their practices, and educated practitioners in understanding their regulatory requirements.

Since LMVA Consulting’s inception in 2017, Kristine has transferred her skills to support small business owners and Associations with marketing, promotion, program management, and events. She has become her clients’ strategic partner using networking, professional development, events, and mentorship to help build relationships and drive their business.

Pierre Normandeau

When you first meet Pierre, it’s impossible not to be moved by his level of empathy; his ability to put himself in other people’s shoes and understand their needs and desires. His passion for connecting with people is evident and providing positive, life-impacting solutions is what he finds most rewarding.

Pierre has been with T&A since 2002 and after obtaining his CGA designation, he became one of T&A’s partners and the manager of the St. Boniface office. Over the years, his various roles have allowed him to experience pains and frustrations but also the rewards of running an accounting practice. He continues to learn everyday and loves to share his experiences with other practitioners.

Natalie Dumont

Watching Natalie in action is like taking in a one-woman Cirque Du Soleil show. This firecracker can do anything and does it with style, wowing staff and clients with her precise attention to detail and project management skills. Natalie started her career working as a Health Care Aide. After working at the University of Manitoba, she came to T&A in 2015.

Rich often wonders why people stare at him like he has eight heads.  It could be (a) his wild stories about what he blew up in his garage microwave, (b) the rapid speed in which fires back email responses or (c) that they are literally staring at all the hats he wears at the firm.

Rich has been a significant part of the T&A family since 2011.  He’s held positions as the IT Manager and supports the Ag Team and overall tax file preparation. He is a quick study and is constantly striving to improve himself in some way each day. In his downtime he enjoys wood working, a good book or head banging to Abba.
